WE OWN THIS MOVEMENT

PRIVACY &
THE WORK.

Newsletter information

When you sign up, we store your first and last name, email address, optional school or organization, role, selected initiatives, consent version and date, subscription dates, and confirmation status. This information is used to send the updates you request. Subscriber addresses are not displayed publicly or sold.

A confirmation email activates your subscription. While email service is being connected, signup requests remain on a pending launch list. Every newsletter will include an unsubscribe link. You can also request removal through the contact form. The sending address is not a verified receiving mailbox.

The site uses its hosting provider’s database and file storage. When email delivery is enabled, Resend processes recipient addresses and email content to send the requested messages. We store delivery status to avoid duplicate announcements. Short-lived, hashed network identifiers help limit signup abuse.

Contact inquiries

The contact form stores your name, email, subject, message and inquiry status privately for the administrator to handle your request. You can also contact us at hello@weownthismovement.org. Incoming messages are forwarded through Cloudflare to the movement’s Gmail inbox.

Ask the Movement

Ask the Movement uses OpenAI to answer questions from published resources and FAQs. Questions and selected public source excerpts are sent to OpenAI to answer your question. Do not include private or sensitive information. Subscriber records and contact inquiries are never chatbot sources.

Creator credit

We Own This Movement, Fashion Enterprise & Innovation, and CFIP (Climate Financial Indication Project) were founded and created by Athena Shih. The materials carry the credit “Conceptualized and created by Athena Shih.” Copyright claims apply to her original copyrightable contributions. Other contributors’ and source owners’ rights remain with them.

Sharing the materials

You may share links to the original resource pages. Keep the creator credit, source citations and date labels attached to downloaded copies. Publishing, adapting or selling the materials requires the relevant rights holder’s permission except where the law permits the use.

Dates and archive editions

The archive uses the latest saved files available for each included resource. Preparation timestamps record when the credited copy was prepared; they do not certify the original creation date. Historical posters retain their original event information. Research excerpts are labeled where the available source is incomplete.
